Veterans IN Farming
Veterans IN Farming is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization serving military veterans and their dependent family members with tools, training, mentorship, and hands-on learning opportunities in homesteading, farming, ranching, and agriculture.
While the “IN” in our name stands for Indiana, we welcome military veterans from all eras and all stages of their agricultural journeys. Beginning farmers, experienced producers, caregivers, and veteran family members are welcome in our programming.
Become a MemberWe offer classes, workshops, and hands-on training events throughout the year on topics such as beekeeping, planting techniques, water conservation, soil health, and more.
Members become part of a practical community focused on helping veterans and their families build skills, confidence, and connections in agriculture.
Long-time farmers and experienced producers are invited to share their knowledge by hosting classes, mentoring newer farmers, or helping strengthen veteran agricultural education.
In partnership with At Ease Orchard, Jack’s Farm, and Porter Farm, Veterans IN Farming provides farm-based education and practical learning opportunities throughout the year.
We also work with Hoosier Uplands, Indiana AgVets, and AgrAbility to connect veterans with agricultural training, adaptive farming resources, internships, and support for service-related or disability-related challenges.
